Looking for Full Time Band Manager

$80,000.00–$120,000.49 a year

Reporting to and under the support and supervision provided by Chief & Council, the Band Manager is responsible for the operation and maintenance of all programs and services and will ensure that all operations are conducted in a respectful and responsible way. They will ensure all decisions and actions meet the relevant legislation, policies, direction and procedures that govern Shackan including the Shackan Financial Administration Law and any other Laws enacted by the Shackan Council.

Experience
As the Band Manager your key accountabilities and scope will be:

Strategic and Operational Band Management - Provides leadership in developing organizational strategic and operational plans under the direction of Chief and Council.

Financial Operations Management - Oversees and supervises all financial operations of the Band including budgeting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.

Program and Service Delivery Management - Oversees program delivery in all areas, including health, education, housing, social assistance, and administration.

Coordination of Community Development Activities - Maintains an open, equitable and service oriented relationship between the community and the Band administration.

Band Council Support and Administration - Ensures that all Band Council business is conducted within relevant legislation, policies and procedures, and facilitates the exchange of information between Band Council and Band Members.

Human Resource Management - Manages staff in accordance with Band standards and performance Expectations, promotes and provides for a positive working environment aligned with the culture and values of the Shackan Indian Band and Nlaka’pamux values.

Conditions of Employment:

Must provide Criminal Record and Vulnerable Person Check prior to employment.

Must possess a Class 5 Drivers License and provide current Drivers Abstract check prior to employment.

Able and willing to work variable times, including evenings and weekends.

Must have own vehicle for work purposes.
