Looking for: Full Time Early Childhood Educator

$40.49 per hour ( experience and documentation considered)

The Coldwater School is inviting qualified applicants to apply for the position of On Reserve Early Childhood Educator for the Headstart Program.

Qualifications

• Completion Early Childhood Education Diploma
• Knowledge of Nlaka'pamux language and Coldwater Community an asset
• Experience with formative assessment practices is an asset
• First Aid Certificate or willing to obtain Criminal Record Check)

Duties and Responsibilities to Include:

• • Developing and implementing culturally sensitive programs for children ages 3-5 years
  • Work closely with other staff to develop goals and assess the abilities, interests and needs of the students
  • Direct and support the duties of the in class Education Assistant

Preference will be given to those applicants who:

• have knowledge of Nlaka'pamux language and Coldwater have classroom teaching experience
• have experience delivering the Aboriginal Head Start Program
• have Aboriginal ancestry (as per Special Program with the BC Human Rights Tribunal) valid driver's license
• reliable form of transportation
