Looking for: Full Time Special Education and Language Coordinator
$50.00 per hour
The Special Needs and Language Coordinator is responsible for:
- planning, developing, facilitating, and assessing programs, events, and prevention services
- Assists Principal with reporting requirements for funded programs
- Maintains good record management
- Demonstrates sound clinical judgment in the assessment and treatment of children with mental health issues
- Ensure elders' participation in supporting children and families
- Be sensitive to inter-generational trauma created by colonialism, residential schools, and the sixties scoop
Minimum Education and Experience·
- Master's degree in counseling, Clinical Psychology, Social Work or related graduate-level degree . .
- Minimum of two years working with children and families
- Minimum of one year of counseling experience with a caseload
- Working knowledge of Nle?kepmx language and culture
- Always maintain a high level of confidentiality and ethics
- Ability to relate well with community members, professionals, and outside agencies
- Maintain flexibility to respond to competing demands in various situations
