Looking for a full time Teacher

$40.49 per hour to start, negotiable with certificates and experience

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher qualificc;1tion in education
• Valid BC teaching certificate required (or be in application of) Experience integrating technology in class lessons Experience with First Nation schools an asset
• Experience in developing and implementing IEP's
• Excellent communication, leadership and interpersonal skills•
• Knowledge of the BC curriculum and experience with Saxon Math, Readwell, and Reading Master are an asset
• Willing to continue to gain new knowledge and skills, be flexible, positive and a team player
• First Aid Certificate or willing to obtain
• Criminal Record Check

Preference will be given to those applicants who:

• have knowledge of Nlaka'pamux language and Nle?kepmx culture
• have classroom teaching experience
• have experience at the Primary and. Elementary levels
• have experience with formative assessment practices is an asset
• have additional professional experience and/or post-secondary courses in early childhood education, early learning and early literacy
• have Aboriginal ancestry (as per Special Program with the BC Human Rights Tribunal)
