Looking for Full Time Ranch Cook  in Gang Ranch

$2,800–$3,000 a month

The Douglas Lake Cattle Company is pleased to offer a full-time permanent employment opportunity as a ranch cook at our Gang Ranch division. Live and work in one of the most beautiful locations in Canada.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Cooking breakfast, lunch and dinner for 7-10 ranch employees
• Ensure kitchen and eating area are clean and sanitized
•  Determine food and supply needs
• Control and minimize waste
• Comply with safety regulations and procedures
• Work shifts are 5 days on and 2 days off
• Prepare baking as needed

Qualifications

• Must have valid Food Safe Certification
• Must have at least one (1) year cooking experience
• Strong working knowledge of food prep techniques, cooking methods and safety and sanitation practices
• Must have ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds
• Familiarity with general kitchen equipment and appliances
•  Must have valid Driver’s Licence
• Comfortable standing, stopping, squatting, twisting and moving frequently
•  Accommodations and meals provided while on shift
• Cooking: 1 year (required)
• Food Safety Certification (required)
