Looking for Onsite Safety Advisor/ First Aid Attendant

$25-$30 an hour – Temporary, Full time approx. 6 months

Responsibilities

• Provide first aid as per WorkSafe BC Legislation
• Supervise all workers to correct unsafe acts and ensure safety conscience attitudes at work
• Complete daily site inspections and maintain updated onsite safety paperwork
• Investigate and follow up of all incidents, first aid recorders, and near-misses
• Assist site supervisor with administration tasks as needed
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures

Qualifications

• OFA level 2 certified

• Must be local to the Merritt area and have own transportation to worksite
• Have own mobile device (laptop provided)
• Proficient in both written and verbal English
• Outstanding organizational skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Knowledge of WorkSafe BC, WHMIS 2015 and related legislation
