Looking for Full Time Environment Co-Op
$52,000 and $64,480
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with compiling data for and helping to write annual regulatory reports
- Assist with entering, managing, and reviewing environmental data
- Provide environmental training and awareness across site by presenting to new hires and crews and distributing environmental bulletins
- Provide field assistance for environmental monitoring programs (e.g., sample collection, wildlife surveys, etc.)
- Assist with tracking key environmental information
- Provide general support to the ELP team and operations
Qualifications
- Qualified candidates are currently enrolled in an undergraduate program for Bachelor of Science, Natural Resource Science, or similar.
- The candidate will have a basic understanding of data management and environmental sampling processes.
- Preference will be given to candidates with previous experience collecting field samples, managing and reviewing data, and technical report writing.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook is essential.
- Previous experience working in the mining industry will be considered as an asset.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and self-starter skills are required as the candidate will be responsible for various environmental projects and the delivery of those across the mine site.
- Applicants must possess a valid BC Driver's License and have access to personal transportation.
Other Requirements
Candidates will be required to participate in a comprehensive qualification process, including:
- Successful completion of pre-placement functional screen
- Provide proof of a valid Class 5 driver’s license
- Demonstrate eligibility to work in Canada
- Provide confirmation of valid educational requirements
