Looking for Environmental Monitor

$20-$30 an hour – Temporary Full Time

Responsibilities

• Conduct environmental monitoring of projects, including construction, resource development, and restoration activities.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, policies, and best practices.
• Collect and analyze environmental data, including water, soil, and air quality samples.
• Document findings through written reports and photographs, submitted weekly.
• Identify potential environmental risks and provide recommendations for mitigation.
• Communicate with project managers, government agencies, and community stakeholders.
• Assist with community engagement and environmental education initiatives.

Qualifications

• Experience in environmental monitoring, natural resource management, or a related field.
• Knowledge of environmental regulations and Indigenous stewardship principles.
• Ability to work outdoors in various conditions and terrains.
• Strong observational, analytical, and reporting skills.
• Proficiency with data collection tools and software is an asset.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must obtain a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
• Must be willing to submit to a criminal record check
