Looking for Environmental Monitor
$20-$30 an hour – Temporary Full Time
Responsibilities
- Conduct environmental monitoring of projects, including construction, resource development, and restoration activities.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, policies, and best practices.
- Collect and analyze environmental data, including water, soil, and air quality samples.
- Document findings through written reports and photographs, submitted weekly.
- Identify potential environmental risks and provide recommendations for mitigation.
- Communicate with project managers, government agencies, and community stakeholders.
- Assist with community engagement and environmental education initiatives.
Qualifications
- Experience in environmental monitoring, natural resource management, or a related field.
- Knowledge of environmental regulations and Indigenous stewardship principles.
- Ability to work outdoors in various conditions and terrains.
- Strong observational, analytical, and reporting skills.
- Proficiency with data collection tools and software is an asset.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must obtain a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
- Must be willing to submit to a criminal record check
