Looking for a part time Behaviour Interventionist
$22 - $24 per hour
Interventionist for child/youth with Autism
Insight Support Services is seeking interventions to Provide direct hands-on support to child/youth in various environments after school, evening, and weekends (flexible schedule).
The interventionist with provide support to the child/youth in a way that is directed by the individual goals identified for the child/youth by his/her family and support team.
Intervention plans, with the support of a Behaviour Consultant, will be implemented to address deficits in communication, social development, physical development, sensory integration, life skills, behavior challenges, executive functioning and independence. As well as assist the family in implementing the recommendations from the assessment team and other professionals and provide feedback to determine effectiveness of approaches through collaboration with parents and support team on a regular basis.
Through this work the interventionist will support the family, child/youth and other team members to identify the child/youth’s strengths, abilities, needs and priorities and advocate to help to build upon them.
Interventionists will keep written record of activities and strategies working towards the agreed-upon goals. As well as participate in interagency meetings as requested by the child/youth and/or family.
Criminal Record Check and Driver’s abstract required.
